VITA SCHEDULING CALENDAR
Welcome to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) scheduling calendar. Taxpayers may now schedule appointments for the 2024 tax year filing.
Clients with prior year/s, amended, delinquent and ITIN filings must speak with a representative at 732-247-3730 to be scheduled.
United Way of Central Jersey is the main provider of VITA services in Middlesex County and collaborates with a host of community partners to bring free income tax services to eligible taxpayers in the community with Gross Income up to $75,000. The community we serve includes the following target populations:
- Low-to-moderate-Income Individuals & households
- Persons with limited English Proficiency (please call to be scheduled)
- Persons with Disabilities (please call to be scheduled)
- Persons applying for / renewal of ITIN numbers (please call to be scheduled)
- Seniors
- Veterans
Taxpayers may schedule for In-Person and/or Drop-off/ Pick-up appointment at any one of the listed locations: Edison Main
Library, Family Financial Opportunity Center (FFOC) in Perth Amboy, Middlesex College in New
Brunswick, Piscataway Senior Center (Monday) and the United Way in Milltown.
ONLINE APPOINTMENTS
Online (Virtual) appointments are encouraged for taxpayers who are able to upload their tax documents.
SELF-FILE APPOINTMENTS
Self-Filers -
REWARD $35 gift card. Offer available to the first 128 filers using our free Taxslayer or Myfreetaxes software. Meet with a tax coach on Wednesday & Friday, 5:30pm - 7:30pm for assistance at 32 Ford Avenue in Milltown, or meet at the Middlesex College, 140 New Street in New Brunswick, Tuesday, 10am -12:00 noon. Filers must show proof of federal e-file acceptance to collect a gift card.

FORMS
Taxpayers need to come prepared for their appointment with a completed Intake and signed Consent form.
Review the Document Screening & Checklist 2024 on how to prepare for your appointment.
Taxpayers must complete these forms prior to their appointment:
- Taxpayer's Intake Form 13614-C
- Tax Client Consent Form 14446
FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS
All clients: Your confirmation email will also contain the links to complete the above forms on our secured Digital Platform.
Online clients must have the following identifications ready for upload to their Client Portal when instructed to:
- Any government issued photo ID
- A selfie holding your photo ID next to your face
- Social security cards for all on the return.

To help ensure that we are able to open any document you send us, it is
important to send them in a PDF format. Below you will find YouTube
